Winged Heart card

I made this wedding card for a good friend of mine, matching it to her wedding invites. I have also made some fabulous Christmas cards in the last few weeks and will be sharing them with you soon.

Thanks for dropping by!

“Special Moments” fridge magnet

"Special Moments" fridge magnet
This is a fridge magnet I made for the “Make a mobile/magnet” class. I really like how it came out, but apologise for the slight blue tinge in the photo… once again it looks much better IRL than on the photo 🙂

I wanted a vintage feel, so I printed the photo with a slight sepia tint, then sponged around the edge with ‘tea dye’ distress ink. I punched a flower from corrugated cardboard which I inked with ‘vintage photo’ and ‘tea dye’ distress inks. I also inked the silver frame with dark brown StazOn.

“You have my heart” mini

'You have my heart tag'“You have my heart” mini (tag)

My DH is overseas until next week, and I have resolved to use this ‘alone time’ to be creative, creative, creative! But last night the only thing I could think of was the reason WHY I am alone — DH is not here! I missed him so much, and after 2 hours of just being distracted and unproductive, I made this mini for him.

I used a see-through clothing tag that came off a new shirt he bought especially for this trip — I kept the tag because I liked it, and it was just perfect for this. This was also the first time ever I used shrink plastic (the ‘J’) and I’m hooked! The ribbon (ironically) also came off packaging, but it was just so perfect and I didn’t have any other that matched the overall look, so no apologies 🙂

Well, now that I have ‘given expression’ to my distractions, maybe I can actually get to making a few cards tonight!
