Dreamy silhouette card

Dreamy silhouette card“Dreamy Silhouette” card

I saw this amazing stencil from The Craft Workshop at my LSS a while back, and since then all the beautiful things I could make with it have been haunting me… Dreamy silhouette card CUSo the other day I just had to buy it, and this card represents its official inauguration 🙂 As usual shimmer does not show up well in photos, but I used White Brilliance ink (which has a subtle shimmer) to do those beautiful leaves and butterfly silhouettes. It’s just wow! This is one of those “you have to see it in real life” cards to really appreciate it. I am extremely proud of the end result, although my head is already spinning with an “upgraded” version 2!

Not to mention that it qualifies for TWO challenges! First, I based it on the sketch from OCC (Our Creative Corner). I wanted the paper with silhouettes to be the main focus (thus to be as large as possible) so I made the card square, and the tulle and sentiment looked awkward at the top so I moved everything to the bottom. So I did make slight adjustments to the layout, but I think it was for the better :-).

It also qualifies for the Am I A Scrap Addict Blogoversary Challenge #4 where the challenge was to use the colour brown with any pastel colour(s).

SUPPLIES • card stock: white from Bazzill Basics • designer paper: “Blue

Jip, I saw the card in real life and can only confirm that a computer screen does not do it justice and that it really is a beautiful card.
